OZZY OSBOURNE's 'Crazy Train' Sampled In Hip Hop Chart Smash: Audio Available

October 27, 2004

Southern hip hop pioneer TRICK DADDY's latest single, "Let's Go", features a sample of OZZY OSBOURNE's "Crazy Train". The hot party anthem is in the top five on the rap charts and in pop's top 20. Listen to "Let's Go" in streaming audio: Windows Media, Real Media.

Commented Trick in a recent interview with the New York Daily News: "Ozzy is a thug in his own way. A thug don't have to mean a drug dealer or a killer. It's someone who's got his own style."

"Let's Go" comes off Trick's (né Maurice Young) brand-new set, "Thug Matrimony/Married to the Streets", which was recorded while the rapper was on a three-year probation, during which he had to attend anger management classes and speak to groups of kids about the dangers of drugs and violence. The sentence, which also included a period of house arrest, stemmed from two incidents over the last year that resulted in drugs and weapons charges.
